Prayerful Space
Our homes, imperfect as they are, should be a reflection of our eternal home, where troubled souls find peace, weary hearts find rest, hungry bodies find refreshment, lonely pilgrims find communion, and wounded spirits find compassion.

A practical way of creating a sense of holiness in our homes is establishing a center of prayer. This can be a prayer corner, prayer wall or even a prayer room. Designating a place for prayer is helpful, because it draws us to make prayer a priority. It also creates a space for reverence and security, because we are uplifted by the icons of the Saints and our minds are drawn to reflect on the Lord. By praying at your prayer corner, you also establish a routine for prayer which is useful in ensuring that your days are spent glorifying God. After all, the purpose of this life is to prepare us for an eternity of prayer and worship.
